William Kevin Hobbs, known to his friends and family as Kevin, passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 58.

Kevin was born on August 15, 1966, in Long Beach, California, to Gary and Billie Hobbs. In 1980, Kevin moved to Texas and graduated from Happy High School in 1984. He later worked alongside his friend, Ernie Cunningham, co-owning Cunningham and Hobbs Remodeling and Construction.

Kevin had a passion for fishing and cherished spending time with his loved ones. He was especially fond of his dog, Girl, and his horse, Luna. As a true grill master, Kevin attended numerous cookoffs, proudly winning many of them.

While Kevin lived in various places in both California and Texas, he always found his way back home to small-town Happy, TX. Though not the most vocal person, Kevin had a quick wit and was a great listener to those he cared about.

Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Len Hobbs Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Bonnie Henderson; and his paternal grandparents, Robert Hobbs and Hazel Hampton.

He is survived by his father, Gary Hobbs; his mother, Billie Hobbs; his sister, Leah and husband Ernest Climer; his daughters, Haley and husband Jacob Hernandez, and Hannah Hobbs and fiancé Drake Valenzuela; his five grandsons, Zane, Zachary, Cruz Hernandez, Daxton and Davis Valenzuela; and his granddaughter, Mia Hernandez. He is also survived by numerous friends and extended family who will forever cherish his memory.

A celebration of life will be held in Kevin’s honor on January 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Arena of Life Church, located at 8827 S Washington. For those wishing to send flowers or plants, please have them delivered to the Arena of Life Church prior to the service.
