Russell Warn Higdon, 69, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. He was born on August 2, 1956, in Paducah, Texas.

Russell lived life with a fearless spirit, a strong work ethic, and a love for his family that never wavered. He was an Army veteran who proudly served his country before building a successful tree service business during the 1990s. Through hard work, determination, and grit, he earned the respect of those who knew him. After many years of dedicated work, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance and integrity.

Above all, Russell loved his family. His greatest joy was being a father to his sons, Joshua, and Walker. He was also blessed with daughters-in-law, April and Nekaylyn. He treasured his grandchildren, LillyAnn, Knox, Preston, Jaxson, and Tatum. His family was his greatest source of pride, and the memories they shared will be cherished forever.

Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Ima Dean Smith Higdon, and his brother, Phillip Wade Higdon.

Those who knew Russell will remember him for his adventurous spirit, his strength, his sense of humor, and his willingness to work hard and live life on his own terms. He lived boldly, loved deeply, and left behind countless stories that will continue to be shared by those who loved him.

After a courageous battle with illness, Russell’s journey has come to an end. He is now free from pain, his mind is at peace, and he has found the rest he so richly deserved.

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. His love, wisdom, and unforgettable spirit will remain in their hearts forever.

“A life well lived leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and memories that time can never erase.”

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
