Carl Dean McMillon, 60, of Amarillo, passed away on November 4, 2026. He was born in Elk City, Oklahoma, on January 4, 1966.

Carl had a genuine heart and a precious soul. He was rugged and tender with a deep love for family rooted in strong Christian faith. He was motivated by work and loved his work family dearly.

Every Friday night, he could be found in his shop listening to his favorite music. Carl enjoyed so much in life, from yearly fishing trips in Red River to being a huge fan of #24 Jeff Gordon NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, and Stars hockey.

He loved hosting 4th of July fireworks and cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner.

He was an honorable man who stayed true to his word, lived intentionally by his beliefs, and was careful with his actions because he was respectful and so very proud of his last name, McMillon. Carl, you are SO loved!

Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie McMillon, and his uncle Wayne Craig.

Survivors include his wife, Julie McMillon; his sons, Devin McMillon and ex-wife Liz, CJ McMillon, and Colby McMillon; stepsons, Spencer Smith, and Greyson Smith; three granddaughters, Rosalynn McMillon, Addison McMillon, and Eve Smith; his father, Ronnie McMillon; three brothers, Danny McMillon and wife Victoria, Rick McMillon and wife Carol, and Del McMillon and wife Trish; and one sister, Ronna McMillon. Carl was a cherished uncle for many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, at Llano Cemetery East, located at the corner of Arthur and 34th Streets.
