Christi Jean White, born on the 14th of December 1961 in Austin, Texas, departed from us on the 4th of November 2025. A remarkable woman of strength, courage, and unwavering love, Christi was a beacon of light for all who knew her. She spent the last decade of her vibrant life in Amarillo, Texas, where she was a beloved figure in her community.
As Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This quote encapsulates the essence of Christi’s life. Her warmth, compassion, and selfless nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark of love and kindness.
Christi was not defined by her employment status but rather by the love and passion she poured into her family and her community. She was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. She found joy in the smallest of things and had a knack for bringing people together. Her contagious laughter and infectious optimism were the heart and soul of every gathering. She lived her life as Albert Einstein advised, “Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value.” And indeed, Christi was a person of immense value to all who knew her.
Christi is survived by her brothers, Matt Albracht, Michael Albracht, and Greg Albracht ; her daughter, Nichole Romero; her son, Speedy Albracht; her sister, Lori Page; and her grandchildren, Ethan Albracht, Isaac and Bella Romero. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Therese Albracht. We remember Christi not with sadness, but with gratitude for having had her in our lives. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire us and live on in our hearts.
