Ellen King, 69, of Amarillo passed away February 12, 2023. She was born March 23, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Harlan and Mary Alice (Howing) Dean.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023, at Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave.
Ellen loved music and was known as the “head-banging grandma” when the band played. She loved her family. She had a reputation as being very stubborn. Ellen was very generous and was always willing to share what she had.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Mary Alice Dean; her brother Patrick Dean, and her sister, Marjorie Wilhun.
She is survived by her children Jennifer Loden and Jeremy Dean King; her grandchildren, Tori Abernathy, Dakkota Talmo, and Hunter Davis; great-grandchildren, Payton Ray Burkett, and Khaleesi Marie Knight, and two brothers, Dan Dean and Vaughn Lester Dean.
