Frank David Griego, 60, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on September 17, 1964, to Frank and Eleanor (George) Griego.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024, with a Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Lighthouse Funeral Home.
Frank attended Santa Fe High School and Vo-Tech. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1984-1989. After his service in the Army, he moved back home and worked various jobs in New Mexico. He moved to Texas in 1994 and met his future wife, Jodie in 2002. They were married in 2019.
He always made people laugh with his great sense of humor. Frank enjoyed playing pool and softball. He was always so kind and had a heart for helping others. He will be greatly missed.
Frank was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Domingo and Pita Griego; maternal grandparents, Sam and Eloisa George; his father, Frank Griego, Sr., and a brother, Samuel Sanchez.
He is survived by his parents, Eleanor and Louis Sanchez; his beloved wife, Jodie Griego; three children, Andrew Griego, Crystal Gonzales, and Annalisa Griego; his grandchildren, Lathan, Olivia, and Mila; a sister, Dora Furrow and husband Mark; brothers, Ruben Griego and wife Tracy, and Louis Sanchez and wife, Tambra. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family ~ The Buckles Crew.
