Jack Wilbourn, 78, of Amarillo, Texas (formerly of Midland), passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Castro County Nursing and Rehab in Dimmitt, Texas.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Jack was the youngest of 12 children to John Wesley Wilbourn and Birdie Mae Pearce Wilbourn.
At 18 years old, Jack married Patricia Ann Berg in a ceremony at the courthouse in Florence, Arizona. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 12, 2025. Together, they built a life centered around faith, family, and service. Jack and Patricia were active members of their church and were known for their deep love and commitment to each other. They also owned and operated T.A.G.S Glass and Mirror in Midland, TX. Jack and Pat also became members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, where they shared many adventures with fellow members. In his free time, Jack enjoyed woodworking in his garage.
Jack retired from Briley Trucking in 2018, where he worked as a welder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James, Elvin, and J.I., and sisters Fern, Lois, and Pearl.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia of Amarillo; daughters Audrey Wilbourn of Amarillo and Tammie Yeargain of Midland; grandchildren Geoffrey Yeargain and wife Angela of Hurst, Courtney Hight and husband Stephen of Midland, Maecy Scott and husband Kyle of Midland, Victoria James and husband Dillon of San Antonio, and Jeanelle Mitchell of Amarillo. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren Lilly, Kyla, Ryleigh, Amanda, Asher, Samantha, Hunter, Benji, and Kalib, along with his siblings Edward Wilbourn and wife Cathy of Russellville, AR, Merle Wilbourn of Cleburne, TX, Lola Dale of Shawnee, OK, Annie Mae Wilbourn of Big Spring, TX, Dorothy Pearce of Moosomin, Saskatchewan, Canada, and numerous nieces and nephews who all held a special place in his heart.
Jack’s legacy of love, and hard work will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
