Jimmy Wayne Dreadin, age 80, passed away on April 17, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born November 21, 1942 in Amarillo, to Joseph Walter and Bonnie Opal (Bybee) Dreadin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bonnie Dreadin; a daughter, Christy Dreadin; a son, Ronny Dreadin, and a grandson, Christopher Ortiz.
He is survived by his son Troy Dreadin and wife Rochelle; daughters Kelly Dreadin and Kim Hicks and husband Brandon; a brother Jerry Dreadin and wife Dena; a sister Janelle Diaz and husband Barney, and he is survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 22, 2023 in the Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel, 3707 Woflin Ave. Amarillo, Texas.

They lost touch when we made our move to Kansas and only saw one another once when Jimmy came to see my husband at his mom’s house. It was as if no time had passed. They cared a lot about each other with lots of great childhood memories. Our heart, thoughts and prayers are with the whole family…”
