Karen Nunnelley Beavers, 76, passed away at 12:05 a.m. on September 17, 2026. She was born on May 13, 1950, in Memphis, Texas, to William J. Nunnelley and Ruby Louise Nunnelley.

She married Robert Milton Beavers on August 21, 1970, in Memphis, Texas. Karen dreamed of becoming a nurse, and she fulfilled that dream by becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (L.V.N.). Nursing reflected who Karen was at heart, and she spent much of her life caring for others.

Karen was a beautiful woman inside and out whose warmth, humor, and compassion was a gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. She and her family are deeply grateful to everyone who cared for her and showed her kindness during the final chapter of her life.

Above all, Karen placed her faith in Jesus Christ and trusted Him for her salvation. Though her family grieves her absence, they are comforted by the assurance that she is now with her Savior, welcomed into His eternal Kingdom and glory. Her suffering has ended, and she rests in the loving presence of her true Father in heaven. In that hope, they give thanks for her life and rejoice in the promise that death is not the end.

Her family will carry with them countless memories of Karen’s laughter, love, and the little things that made her so special. The joy she brought into their lives will continue through the stories they share until the day they are reunited with her again.

Rest in Him, our beloved Karen. You are deeply loved, forever remembered, and safely home.

Karen is survived by her husband, Robert Beavers; her daughters, Leslie Chadwick, Nikki Darrah, and Lisa Gardner; her sister, Debra Woodard; and her grandchildren, whom she adored; and great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at The Loft Church, 4400 S. Georgia Street, Amarillo, Texas .
