Kristen Kerr, 32, of Amarillo, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 9, 2026. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she is now at peace in His loving arms.

Kristen was a fun-loving, joyful spirit who brought laughter and light wherever she went. She loved to dance, be goofy, and make people smile. Her silly, carefree personality made her truly one of a kind, and she had a way of brightening every room she entered. She was kind, genuine, and deeply loving. Kristen cared deeply for the people in her life and was always there when someone needed her—whether for support, laughter, or just her presence. The love she gave was real and lasting.

Her laughter, smile, dancing, and ability to turn ordinary moments into something special are memories we will always hold dear. She touched more lives than she ever knew and left countless beautiful memories behind.

We wish we could have one more laugh, one more dance, and one more moment with her. Though it’s hard to understand, we trust that she is where she is meant to be. We imagine her in Heaven, free from pain, still dancing and smiling in the presence of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Juan and Betty Duran, Sr., and her great-grandparents, Manuel and Felicitas Garcia Carrasco, Sr., Margarito and Josefa Duran, and Charlie and Dorothy Walker.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Korbyn John Taylor; her mother, Christina Duran Diaz, and her father, Christopher Kevin Kerr; a sister, Alicia Devin Kerr; her aunt, Alicia Duran; her uncles, Juan Manuel Duran, Jr., Juan Orlando Duran, Juan Christopher Duran, and Douglas Klayton Kerr; grandparents, Lynett Walker, and Douglas Kerr, as well as several great-aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Until we meet again, Kristen—keep dancing, keep smiling, and keep being your beautiful, joyful self. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. We love you, Kristen. Until we see you again.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, August 18, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Life.Church Amarillo, at 8600 Canyon Drive. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
