Richard “Slick Rick” Martinez, Jr.,

Richard “Slick Rick” Martinez, Jr., 55, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Hereford.

He was born in Dumas, Texas on August 3, 1965 to Richard Alvarado Martinez, Sr., and Emma Ozuna Coronado.

Richard was a Highschool graduate of pasadena high school and obtained his electrician license and was a very hard worker.

He enjoyed fishing and golfing, he was a electrician most of his life and he enjoyed it. Richard was very helpful and would help on any side job he could find, he had a great sense of humor, most of all known for his smile. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Those left to cherish his memories are his father Richard Alavarado Martinez, Sr., of Hereford, TX,; his sister Cris “Chach” Martinez of LaPorte, TX.; many aunts and uncles and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Emma Ozuna Coronado.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 1:30 with pastor David Alavarado officiating at the Lighthouse Chapel in Amarillo. Services are under the direct care of Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation Services of Amarillo.
