Ronald Dee Gragg, 69, passed peacefully Tuesday, the 29th of July, 2025. Ronald was born December 23, 1955 in Shamrock, Texas. Service will be held Saturday, August 2nd, at the First Methodist Church of Shamrock at 12:00pm.
In the early 1970’s, Ronald was known as a great athlete in Shamrock High School, playing football, basketball and running track all four years. Growing up working on his families’ dairy and hay farm gave him the reputation of a tough, dedicated and tenacious athlete who was never outworked. He left high school holding several track records which remained in his name for many years. One of his favorite sports memories was the 1972 game against Wheeler in which he scored every single point for the Irish in a 26-7 victory.
Ronald devoted his working years to supporting his family and local community and was known for his steady presence, warm smile and always a ready willingness to help anyone in need at any time. Whether through local organizations such as Meals on Wheels, his church, or simply lending a hand, his kindness leaves a lasting mark.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Kristin Stambaugh and husband Ryan, of Shamrock; daughter Megan Gragg of Shamrock, grandson Cross Stambaugh and several cousins, nieces and nephews
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Joyce Gragg, sisters Vicki Gragg Moore, Diane Reynolds and brother Ricky Don Gragg, all of Shamrock.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ronald’s name to Shamrock’s Meals on Wheels, 205 E 2nd Street, Shamrock, TX., 79079.

“Ronald was such a good guy. Everyday after he got done helping with the meals on wheels, he would bring me a yogurt to my workplace. He always had something funny to say and make me laugh. I enjoyed seeing him and his smile. I will sure miss seeing him.”
