It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Franklin Davis Wise, who left this world on October 14, 2026, after facing a courageous illness with remarkable strength and grace. Davis was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend born to Ronny and Vicky Wise in Eden, Texas.
He shared a special bond with his mother, Vicky, who supported him with unwavering love throughout his journey. Those who knew Davis were touched by his gentle spirit, infectious smile, and generous heart. His presence in the lives of his family and friends was a blessing, and his warm, caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Davis had a way of making people feel valued and understood, always taking the time to listen and offer support when needed. Davis lived in Brownfield. He went to school and later attended two colleges. He loved all kinds of music. He was in the BHS band; he played the cornet, tuba, and French horn. He went to Disney World and marched in the parade with his fellow students.
He became a Christian at RA Camp and was a member of FBC Brownfield. He was involved with the Youth at FBC and went on several mission trips; he also played the handbells with the Youth at FBC. He went to Mexico to build a home for a family. He said he was grateful for all his blessings at home because the family was so poor. He was in the Choir at BHS. They went to State in choir, and his mother got to see them perform. He also went to State for marching band. Davis was a USDA peanut inspector. He could tell you everything about them. Davis worked with his dad, Ronny, in the mechanic business for several years.
Davis loved movies and could recite them. If you wanted to know anything about a movie, who played in it, or a song, who was the band, just ask him; he knew. He had a photographic memory. He had a high IQ. He was so funny!! He told us he wanted to be the first sit-down comedian, not a stand-up comedian. He loved to fish. He loved wrestling, RAW, and Smackdown. He loved DC and Marvel comics. He loved He-Man. He loved anime, especially One Piece. His superpower was his brain and his great big heart. He loved to play video games and D&D with his friends.
Davis was from a large family, he is survived by his devoted mother, Vicky Wise; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Megan Taylor, Justin and Eric Lee-Hughes; his best friends, James and Sheri Nix, and kids, Joshua Longoria, Corey and Elena Posey, Liz Foster and husband Andy; grandmother, Julie Faught and husband Eddie Rivera; aunts and uncles, Diedra and Eric Williamson, Kelly and Jared Hight, Kristi and Scott Marsh, Ronny and Carolyn Bryan and Michael and Deborah Villarreal; niece, Mylia; nephews, Brayden, Braxten and James Jr.; cousins, Erica and Taylor Williamson, Buddy Glen Bryan, Joel and Jake Redden, Zane and Desi Harris.
Davis was preceded in death by his father, Ronny Wise; grandfathers and grandmothers, Zeno "Buddy" Franklin Wise Jr. and Mary Wise, Calvin Faught, Margaret Davis; and great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers, George Delbert Davis, Sarah Edith Davis, and Dorothy Davis. Zeno Franklin Wise SR. and Alice Wise.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Brownfield, Texas. In memory of Davis, we are wearing his favorite colors, hunter green and black. Any green would be great.
