“Our beautiful, sweet Mother has gone home to be with The Lord Jesus as so many others in her family before her. There are truly no words to describe the deep love and admiration I have for this incredible lady. She was my best friend, closest confidant, fiercest defender of me my whole life, my biggest cheerleader, my shoulder to cry on, and at times, when needed, my kick in the ass!
Our sweet mom endured so many things in her life that would defeat most people; several bouts with cancer, the loss of so many loved ones as well as many other things that most people would never know because she faced everything head on, with grace and a smile and knew God’s grace is sufficient.
I will miss her beyond description and don’t really know how to do life without her but know that through the strength she has taught me, and the grace God will give me, I, Lloyd, my brothers and all that love her will carry on and be ok.
This is where most say, Rest in Peace, but I believe although now she can rest, she is completely full of life, her joy overflows, and her smile is bigger than Texas, because she is face to face with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the presence of God Almighty Himself, and her loved ones that have gone before her.
I Love, Love, Love you Ma, so long and we will see you soon.”
This was written by her youngest son but is shared and felt by all four of us boys as well as anyone and everyone that knew this one of a kind, special beyond description, incredible child of God we dearly call ……..Ma
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ray Price; children, Ronnie Weathersbee and wife Suzanne, Charlie Weathersbee and wife Kim, Ricky Weathersbee and wife Jamie, and Fred Timmons; grandchildren, Brandon Weathersbee, Timothy Weathersbee, Derek Weathersbee, Heath Weathersbee, Sean Weathersbee, Charles Weathersbee, II, Krista Weathersbee, Austin Weathersbee, Dylan Weathersbee, and Jeremiah Red. “Oh my Susie, I loved this lady as much as I did my Mom! She was Love wrapped up in a tiny body but her strength carried us all! She would rough house with the boys one minute and play dolls with the girls the next. Shoulder to cry on and a shoulder to laugh on! There are not enough words to describe how very special she will always be! She is a surrogate Mom to all of us nieces and nephews and everyone that crossed her path. She was thoughtful, giving and just plain down to earth! She loved the Lord and couldn’t wait until she could set next to him and all of the sisters and brothers that went before her. They saved a spot next to the throne for this special lady and oh what a reunion it must be! I will Miss you My Susie and can’t wait until I see you again. Give Mom hugs and send all the butterflies you can gather! I will tell you one more…. I Love you as big as the sky, with squirrels throwing down nuts on the frogs, riding the turtles over the caterpillars chased by lightning bugs and the pretty cardinals carrying the nuts back to the squirrels. I Love you great big letter ABATS times infinity plus 1! Rest In peace my wonderful Aunt Susie. We will meet again”
