Wanda Huntington

Wanda Huntington, 61, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Wanda was born in Virginia. While living in Montrose, Colorado, she met her adopted parents, William and Leah Amero. Shortly after the birth of her daughter, Shawna, the family moved to Amarillo. Wanda was an outgoing person who loved to meet new people. She met her husband Richard Huntington in 1992. Their greatest joy was taking care of their children and grandchildren, both by birth and the ones that they brought home.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Richard; her sisters Brenda Powell and Kathleen Nilsen; her brother-in-law, Montie Bridwell, and her sister-in-law Denise Ritchardson.

Wanda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Samuel Simmons; her granddaughter, Morgana Simmons; her parents, William and Leah; her sister Penny Bridwell; her brothers Stan Nilsen, and Danny Amero and wife Sharron; brother-in-law Michael Ritchardson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Ralls Rehab Ranch in Lubbock, Texas.
