$1,095
Direct (immediate) cremation
Includes transfer into our care, the professional services of our funeral director and staff, the cremation itself, and return of the ashes to your family. No viewing or ceremony is held beforehand.
You're always welcome to add a memorial service afterward — many families gather when it's right for them.
What is direct cremation?
Direct cremation (sometimes called immediate or simple cremation) is a cremation carried out shortly after death, without a preceding visitation or funeral service. It's the most economical option because it doesn't include embalming, a viewing, or a formal ceremony.
How the process works We bring your loved one into our care, complete the required paperwork and permits, carry out the cremation at our own facility, and return the ashes to you — typically in a simple urn or container you can keep, bury, or scatter. You can upgrade to a keepsake urn at any time.
You can still hold a service Choosing direct cremation doesn't mean forgoing a farewell. Many families hold a memorial service or celebration of life later, at a church, home, or graveside, when everyone can gather.
Is direct cremation right for you?
Direct cremation is a good fit for families who prefer simplicity, want to keep costs low, plan to hold their own gathering later, or are honoring a loved one's wish for something understated. It's a dignified, respectful choice — not a lesser one.
If you'd like a viewing or a service as part of the cremation, we also offer witness cremation ($1,695), a memorial service with cremation ($2,295), and full-service cremation ($4,495). See our cremation cost guide for the full range.
